I’ve auditioned for several Disney projects this year and I’m starting to feel funny about it. If I were Johnny Depp and making a fourth installment of Pirates of the Carribean, I wouldn’t have anything to complain about with the salary they would provide. If I only were in his league, correction when I am in his league things will be so great. I find it interesting the amount they pay actors who aren’t famous for full buyouts in perpetuity for their work in commercials and other projects. It’s really interesting. I guess it’s better than a kick in the head. That seems to be the theme of most of the auditions I have been attending lately. There’s a lot of actors in LA willing to do a lot for just the chance to work and be seen, and not much else, some of the time it’s better than a kick in the head. Some actors even do no-budget badly scripted independent movies involving a lot of nudity. Perhaps a kick in the head is better in such cases! I love the work, and so they say the money will follow one day. I am even happy to do a Disney project as long as it doesn’t leave me too many bruises or bumps in the cranial region.
